Director of Product Management, Software

Responsibilities

• Lead the software product management team through the full product life cycle, from conception and development to launch and commercialization.
• Craft and execute roadmaps across firmware/UI, desktop software, IoT, and industry-specific workflows.
• Impact decision-making by collaborating with leaders across hardware, materials, and software engineering disciplines.
• Conduct user research and competitive analysis to anticipate market needs and identify growth opportunities.
• Mentor and develop a team of product managers while prioritizing the hiring of top talent.
• Navigate ambiguity to build innovative products and establish clear strategic directions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a product management role.
• Previous experience leading a team with 5 or more direct reports.
• Proven ability to drive processes forward with a strong bias for action.
• Experience enabling teams to perform at their highest level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer science or embedded engineering background.
• Experience scaling teams and leading high-performing groups.
• Experience in the B2B tech space.
• Experience starting a company or launching a new product from scratch.
