Director of Product, Life Sciences

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic direction for AI capabilities in drug discovery, chemical synthesis, and molecular characterization
• Translate strategic objectives into target product profiles (TPPs) and development campaigns
• Lead customer and internal-user discovery to serve as a technical link to life sciences partners
• Identify and shape product opportunities grounded in real-world discovery challenges
• Translate insights into clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and experiment plans
• Drive product execution from concept to launch across science, machine learning, automation, and software engineering teams
• Manage resource allocations including budget, compute, lab access, and personnel
• Define success metrics and communicate progress to executive leadership

Requirements

• MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field
• 7+ years in Product Management building experimental products in drug discovery, molecular profiling, machine learning, or scientific software
• Deep understanding of drug development processes, molecular/cellular research tools, and wet/dry lab workflows
• Experience defining and executing target product profiles (TPPs)
• Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects
• Proven ability to influence without authority and lead cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with small molecule discovery workflows (lead optimization, ADMET profiling, synthesis planning)
• Experience with automated/self-driving labs
• Experience with ML approaches relevant to drug discovery
• Background in partnering with biopharma or research organizations
