Director of Product

Responsibilities

• Build and lead LayerZero's product function, defining the operating model, hiring bar, and team culture from the ground up.
• Directly manage IC PMs across product lines, setting standards, unblocking execution, and developing talent.
• Act as the product voice at the executive level, representing the function in leadership discussions regarding roadmap, resourcing, and strategy.
• Own the cross-product roadmap to ensure all product lines move in a coherent direction with clear priorities.
• Drive alignment between engineering, business development, and product teams to translate technical context into executable strategy.
• Protect the product team from context-switching and organizational drag to create optimal working conditions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management.
• 2+ years of experience managing PMs or leading a product function.
• Crypto-native or deep technical product experience in adjacent infrastructure (e.g., developer platforms, financial infrastructure, or security-critical systems).
• Proven experience operating at the executive level and participating in strategic leadership discussions.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and attract high-performing individual contributors.
• A builder mentality with the ability to maintain technical credibility with engineering teams.
