Director of Product Development

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development for an assigned category from brainstorm phase through mass production
• Manage and grow a team of product developers from intern to manager level
• Define product specifications by marrying consumer needs with new technologies
• Steer development of user-relevant design targets for product performance and experience
• Partner with Consumer Insights to implement feedback into design iterations
• Manage product cost structure, reporting, and sourcing strategy recommendations
• Oversee the creation of go-to-market collateral and product troubleshooting materials

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in product development, product marketing, or human factors engineering
• Experience in a consumer goods company preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience hiring, managing, and leading professional teams
• Strong project management and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
