Responsibilities

• Define and drive a cohesive, forward-looking design vision across buyer and seller experiences
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing design organization, including managing managers
• Oversee design for core marketplace journeys including discovery, listing, selling, and social interaction
• Lead the design team's transition to AI-powered workflows and AI-native development models
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align design strategy with company goals
• Maintain a high bar for design quality and innovation across mobile and web platforms
• Build and scale systems for scoping, assigning, and reviewing work across a global, distributed team

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in product or UX design with significant leadership experience
• Proven success building and scaling design teams, including managing managers
• Experience designing for marketplaces, e-commerce, or social platforms
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, user-centered design at scale
• Deep expertise in mobile-first consumer products and complex, multi-sided systems
• Hands-on familiarity with AI design tools like Figma Make or Claude Design
• Strong systems thinking and ability to connect design decisions to business outcomes
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with live commerce, creator tools, or social engagement features
• Background in fashion, retail, resale, or lifestyle marketplaces
