Responsibilities

• Establish procurement practices, policies, and procedures to provide visibility and control
• Lead the Purchasing & sourcing team, establishing standard methodologies
• Oversee development of key supplier relationships and partnerships
• Manage hiring, development, and retention of the procurement department
• Set goals and identify metrics for measuring purchasing process performance
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish purchasing budgets and departmental strategy
• Lead strategic sourcing for key spend categories and negotiation efforts
• Develop and maintain analytical methods for monitoring supplier performance
• Utilize benchmarks and scorecards for continuous improvement
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance for compliance
• Identify and address commercial issues and lead corrective action resolution
• Evaluate customer RFQ requirements to develop strategic sourcing plans

Requirements

• BA or BS degree
• 10+ years of experience in procurement transformations, category management, or procure-to-pay processes
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong leadership and stakeholder influence skills
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Experience in complex solicitations and negotiations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and market roadmaps
• Ability to implement cost-effective procurement technology
• Proven history of achieving year-over-year P&L savings
• History of building and scaling procurement teams
• Ability to travel if necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Procurement qualifications such as APICS or ISM
