Director of Plant Operations

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, discipline, and terminate department staff
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
• Coordinate compliance with local, state, and federal building codes
• Conduct regular inspections of Life Safety Systems including fire extinguishers and alarms
• Coordinate housekeeping services and annual deep cleaning programs
• Manage repairs and refurbishment for apartments and common areas
• Work with Executive Director to create and schedule capital budgets
• Oversee property grounds including landscaping and snow removal
• Prepare and follow approved department budgets
• Maintain inventory control for supplies, parts, and equipment
• Head safety committee meetings

Requirements

• 2+ years of nursing home maintenance or plant operations experience
• Clear and positive communication skills
• Ability to maintain a clean and functional facility
• Self-assured with a can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Management experience
• Certified Pool Operators license
