Responsibilities

• Own the Systems Analysis Board end-to-end, including conceptual design trade studies and Monte Carlo campaigns
• Architect and improve a high-fidelity 6-DOF simulation environment using Python
• Drive closed-loop simulation fidelity improvement using flight test data
• Lead Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) efforts across vehicle design spaces
• Define and iterate on system-level performance requirements
• Build, lead, and mentor a team of aerodynamicists, systems analysis software engineers, and simulation engineers
• Contribute to RFP responses and new product concept modeling

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in systems analysis, simulation, or performance engineering in defense or aerospace
• Proven experience developing 6-DOF or higher-fidelity simulations in Python or production-quality code
• Deep knowledge in at least four domains: aerodynamics, propulsion, GNC, seeker/sensor modeling, radar/target modeling, or flight mechanics
• Experience with Monte Carlo analysis for CEP and kill probability
• Experience leading major design reviews (PDR, CDR) for flight hardware
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee per ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or Applied Mathematics
• Experience at a high-velocity defense or aerospace organization
• Background in missile system performance analysis
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) or software-in-the-loop (SWIL) integration
• Familiarity with radar phenomenology or EO/IR target modeling
