Director of People Operations

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day people function for Gray Residential, supporting corporate and property management organizations
• Manage employee relations, hiring, terminations, performance management, and manager coaching
• Administer handbooks, policies, benefits coordination, and compliance documentation
• Improve onboarding processes and reduce avoidable turnover
• Serve as a talent partner by shaping job postings, screening candidates, and improving hiring workflows
• Partner with ownership and property management leadership to build intentional people systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of HR, people operations, recruiting, or employee relations experience
• Experience supporting hourly, distributed, or multi-location teams
• Strong knowledge of compliance, employee relations, benefits, and documentation
• Ability to coach managers and build trust with frontline employees
• Business-minded approach connecting HR work to operating outcomes
• Experience in multifamily or multi-site operations is a strong plus
