About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day people function for Gray Residential, supporting corporate and property management organizations
- Manage employee relations, hiring, terminations, performance management, and manager coaching
- Administer handbooks, policies, benefits coordination, and compliance documentation
- Improve onboarding processes and reduce avoidable turnover
- Serve as a talent partner by shaping job postings, screening candidates, and improving hiring workflows
- Partner with ownership and property management leadership to build intentional people systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of HR, people operations, recruiting, or employee relations experience
- Experience supporting hourly, distributed, or multi-location teams
- Strong knowledge of compliance, employee relations, benefits, and documentation
- Ability to coach managers and build trust with frontline employees
- Business-minded approach connecting HR work to operating outcomes
- Experience in multifamily or multi-site operations is a strong plus
