About the role

About the Company

OLIX is addressing the massive infrastructure gap in AI by developing a new paradigm for hardware. The OLIX Decode Accelerator 1 (DX-1) utilizes rack-scale co-design of logic, data movement, packaging, optics, and interconnect to enable a step change in system-level performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and industrialize end-to-end manufacturing processes for high-performance optical interconnects, including coating, patterning, development, curing, cladding, and optical inspection
  • Design, develop, install, qualify, and optimize manufacturing lines, equipment, tooling, automation, metrology, and process controls
  • Establish process characterization methodologies, statistical process controls, and qualification strategies to ensure yield and reliability
  • Partner with Engineering, Global Supply Management, and equipment vendors to mature waveguide manufacturing technology
  • Scale waveguide manufacturing capability to achieve production, cost, quality, and cycle time objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing within semiconductor, photonics, optics, or advanced materials industries
  • Subject matter expertise in thin-film and optical manufacturing processes (coating, patterning, curing, lamination, inspection)
  • Experience developing integrated manufacturing capabilities combining processes, equipment, metrology, and automation
  • Proven success in qualifying manufacturing processes that meet optical performance, yield, and cost objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related technical discipline
  • Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or other continuous improvement certifications
