Director of Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production, inventory, and logistics to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery to customers.
• Develop and implement strategies for growth and profitability at the Grand Rapids facility.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain partnerships, warehousing, and transportation.
• Establish strategic direction, performance metrics, and standards for safety, quality, and delivery.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to manage P&L and achieve revenue and margin commitments.
• Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and manufacturing capacity planning.
• Direct continuous improvement programs and implement capital improvements for the site.
• Foster a positive employee relations environment and partner with union leadership to maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operational leadership.
• Proven experience in a build-to-order or high-mix manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in production and inventory control, procurement, and logistics.
• Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning skills.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate teams, and drive accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
