Director of Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of operational strategies aligned with institutional priorities
• Oversee day-to-day operational functions to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and service excellence
• Provide oversight of facilities operations, including maintenance, space planning, capital projects, and vendor management
• Ensure facilities are safe, compliant, and aligned with regulatory and institutional standards
• Direct and manage complex, cross-functional operational and facilities-related projects
• Establish project governance, timelines, and accountability structures while monitoring budgets and outcomes
• Serve as a key liaison between the COO’s office, internal departments, external partners, and vendors
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement tools to enhance operational performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 7+ years of progressive experience in operations, facilities management, or related roles
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong organizational, time management, and strategic planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or similarly complex organizational environments
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and large-scale operations
