About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor for clients, ensuring overall satisfaction, relationship strength, and retention.
- Lead multi-level risk management teams to translate risk profiles into effective program designs and loss strategies.
- Drive the strategic planning process by evaluating exposure changes, business goals, and financial health to provide pre-renewal recommendations.
- Lead complex negotiations with carrier markets and manage the marketing and placement of insurance products.
- Oversee account profitability, monitor expenses, and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
- Direct client onboarding activities, including documentation of expectations, fee agreements, and system setup.
- Establish and deliver key reporting metrics to clients, providing high-level summaries and highlights.
- Empower and delegate tasks to account managers and analysts to ensure successful execution of account strategies.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of client services experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance, including servicing and placement.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent industry experience.
- Current Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license (or ability to obtain one immediately).
- Advanced knowledge of risk financing strategies and products (e.g., guarantee cost, loss sensitive, collateral).
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to position risks effectively to underwriters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Executive presence with the ability to influence and present to high-level stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent existing relationships with insurance and carrier markets in the assigned region.
- Deep understanding of the changing vendor landscape and emerging market disruptors.
- Expert knowledge of federal and state legislation and legal issues related to the insurance industry.
