Director of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a curriculum aligned with the NCLEX-RN blueprint to ensure student licensing success
• Manage faculty development, class scheduling, and teaching staff assignments
• Oversee fiscal program management in accordance with the institution’s business plan
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Maryland Board of Nursing and various accrediting bodies to ensure regulatory compliance
• Promote the University’s mission and values by integrating faith and learning into the nursing program
• Collaborate with the enrollment team to support program growth and student recruitment
• Manage departmental meetings, clinical agency requirements, and grant procurement

Requirements

• Doctorate in nursing or a related field
• Current unencumbered registered nurse license from the Maryland Board of Nursing
• 2-5 years of progressive experience in nursing academic leadership
• Extensive experience in curriculum development, revision, and evaluation
• Proven experience with higher education accreditation (state and regional) and nursing accreditation processes
• Experience in student learning outcome assessments
• Exceptional written and oral communication and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the Baccalaureate and Master’s levels of nursing education
• Experience mentoring faculty members
