Director of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Ensure the development and implementation of curriculum aligned with the NCLEX-RN blueprint
• Identify, evaluate, and support faculty development and teaching assignments
• Manage fiscal program responsibilities in accordance with the institution’s business plan
• Serve as the primary liaison with the Maryland Board of Nursing and various accrediting bodies
• Maintain compliance with CCNE, MHEC, Middle States, and Adventist Accreditation Association standards
• Promote the University’s mission, vision, and Christocentric values through the integration of faith and learning
• Collaborate with enrollment teams to support program growth
• Oversee departmental meetings, clinical agency requirements, and grant procurement

Requirements

• Doctorate in nursing or a related field
• Current unencumbered registered nurse license from the Maryland Board of Nursing
• 2-5 years of progressive experience in nursing academic education leadership
• Extensive experience in curriculum development, revision, and evaluation
• Proven experience with higher education accreditation (state and regional) and nursing accreditation processes
• Experience in student learning outcome assessments
• Exceptional written and oral communication and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the Baccalaureate and Master’s levels of nursing education
• Experience mentoring faculty members
