Director of Nursing Skills Labs and Simulation Center

Responsibilities

• Direct operations within the Nursing Skills Labs and Simulation Center, including coordinating activities and managing equipment and supplies.
• Supervise, hire, orient, and evaluate lab personnel to provide student support.
• Develop and implement nursing simulation learning experiences in collaboration with faculty based on course objectives and student needs.
• Collect and analyze student learning outcome data, evaluations, and licensure scores to enhance critical thinking and student success.
• Oversee the preparation, maintenance, inventory, and operation of all lab and simulation equipment.
• Monitor and prepare operational budgets and funding requests for equipment and technology.
• Provide educational support to faculty and clinical instructors regarding equipment use and educational strategies.
• Maintain current knowledge of trends in nursing education, simulation technology, and student retention practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• Five (5) years of recent nursing experience with proficiency in current nursing skills and medication calculation.
• Four (4) years of leadership experience with accountability for program results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize human patient simulation equipment (HPSE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Five (5) years of acute clinical care experience.
• Prior academic teaching experience.
• Current Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) Certification.
