Director of Mission Products & Payload Integration

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap for mission products, including payload integration and mission design
• Identify new product opportunities across hypersonic testing, defense, and advanced aerospace fields
• Own payload bay design strategy, including mounting solutions and modular interface concepts
• Lead development of customer-facing mission design capabilities such as trajectory design and CONOPS
• Define the avionics, software, and data interface ecosystem for efficient payload integration
• Serve as a primary technical voice for customers to shape mission concepts
• Recruit, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team

Requirements

• 10+ years of applicable aerospace engineering experience
• Deep background in spacecraft, launch vehicles, reentry vehicles, missiles, or hypersonics
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams through complex product development and flight operations
• Experience with payload integration, mission design, or systems engineering
• Technical depth in mechanical, electrical, software, thermal, or GNC domains
• Strong product instincts to translate customer needs into technical offerings
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex engineering to customers
