Director of Mergers & Acquisitions

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full M&A lifecycle, including target identification, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
• Identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities that align with strategic growth objectives.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of acquisition targets.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and consultants, to structure and close deals.
• Prepare and present comprehensive business cases and strategic rationales to executive leadership.
• Evaluate financial due diligence findings to identify accounting risks and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Lead cross-functional integration plans to maximize value and achieve synergies.
• Project manage accounting integration, including defining scope and tracking progress across workstreams.
• Monitor post-acquisition performance to ensure alignment with deal objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or an equivalent field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
• Proven track record of managing numerous successful M&A transactions from start to finish.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis using Excel.
• Exceptional project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in the logistics, supply chain, or food and beverage manufacturing industries.
• Experience with various financial software and ERP systems.
