About the Company

For over 50 years, Covenant House New York (CHNY) has been at the forefront of transforming lives by providing comprehensive shelter, housing, and wrap-around support services for vulnerable homeless, runaway, and exploited youth. CHNY impacts the lives of over 1,500 young people aged 16-24 every year.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the mental health and anti-human trafficking services department
  • Provide direct and clinical supervision to Managers, Social Workers, and Case Managers
  • Lead evidence-based model implementation and ensure ongoing fidelity
  • Facilitate collaborative discussions across CHNY program departments
  • Manage the department's on-call schedule to support 24/7 programs
  • Develop and conduct trainings and workshops for staff and external stakeholders
  • Oversee data management systems and ensure timely documentation in ETO and eCW
  • Manage the department's budget and support fundraising and grant management efforts
  • Provide clinical services including assessment, evaluation, therapy, and crisis intervention
  • Participate in case conferences and red flag meetings to provide clinical guidance

Requirements

  • LCSW licensure in NYS required
  • Minimum of five years of experience in social services or clinical services for at-risk youth
  • Experience providing counseling and casework with at-risk youth
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Solid assessment, interviewing, and crisis intervention skills
  • Knowledge of trauma and mental health issues facing multi-stressed youth and families
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a shelter or residential setting
  • Knowledge of or previous use of evidence-based models
  • Knowledge of external and social service systems
