About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the overarching national and international marketing strategy across events, participation, brands, and commercial objectives.
- Manage digital transformation and innovation across CRM, marketing automation, mobile, social, and web platforms.
- Collaborate with revenue-driving teams including ticketing, hospitality, sponsorships, media rights, and merchandise to drive monetization.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team encompassing tennis promotion, event promotion, brand management, CRM, and the internal creative team.
- Drive brand representation and storytelling across all events, specifically focusing on the Australian Open precinct.
- Monitor local and global cultural trends to ensure strategic alignment and brand relevance.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in commercial or marketing roles involving significant stakeholder management across multiple functions.
- Proven ability to balance creative thinking with structured, critical thinking to solve large-scale problems.
- Strong understanding of commercial partnerships and the Australian/global media landscapes.
- Experience partnering closely with revenue teams to achieve targets with agility.
- Ability to drive digital transformation and innovation.
- Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
- Flexibility regarding working hours and arrangements related to major tennis events.
