Director of Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing plans that drive corporate strategy, profitability, and revenue growth.
• Oversee all fabrication, machining, and assembly operations, including facility management and preventative maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing and 6S methodologies to optimize production costs and efficiency.
• Manage manufacturing performance metrics including safety, quality, productivity, plant utilization, and on-time delivery.
• Partner with Engineering to support the successful launch of new products at target costs.
• Establish and maintain annual operating plans, budgets, capital appropriation, and manpower requirements.
• Lead talent selection, performance management, and professional development to build a strong leadership pipeline.
• Ensure all plant operations meet or exceed local, state, federal, and international safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing), Operations Management, or Business Administration.
• 15 years of industry experience in heavy equipment, machinery, or durable goods.
• 5 to 8 years of senior-level manufacturing or operations leadership experience (e.g., Plant Manager or Operations Director).
• Deep familiarity with ERP and MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality standards including ISO, OSHA, and IATF.
• Proven track record of managing large budgets and scaling production output.
• Exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
• PMP certification.
• Experience in precision machining or the automotive industry.
