Director of Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing processes for dental restorations in a digital-only facility
• Manage and develop a team of 150+ technicians, fostering a culture of coaching and high performance
• Drive the development, scaling, and standardization of new SKUs and manufacturing workflows
• Partner closely with R&D to integrate new product innovations into production
• Manage labor and operating costs to meet company-set financial targets and budgets
• Lead the transition of production from third-party providers to the internal facility
• Ensure all orders meet the highest quality standards and customer deadlines

Requirements

• 10-15 years of manufacturing experience, with increasing management responsibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
• Proven operational experience scaling production processes and implementing new workflows
• Experience collaborating with R&D or technical teams to integrate product innovations
• Proficiency with Excel and strong analytical problem-solving abilities
• Ability to be onsite at the Indianapolis facility daily (Monday-Friday)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced technical degree
• Strong financial acumen
• Experience in insourcing or transitioning manufacturing processes
• APICS, CQE, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement credentials
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques (Kaizen, Kanban, JIT, etc.)
