Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing function, building people, processes, and capabilities for rapid prototyping of airframe and propulsion hardware
• Own manufacturing strategy to ensure alignment between design intent, manufacturability, cost, and schedule
• Partner with airframe, propulsion, and systems engineering to drive build-aware design decisions
• Establish and scale in-house manufacturing capabilities including machine shops, composites, tooling, and assembly
• Build and lead a multidisciplinary manufacturing team with high standards for technical excellence
• Develop lightweight processes for quality, traceability, and configuration control
• Provide leadership with visibility into manufacturing risks, costs, and schedules

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in aerospace or complex hardware-driven environments
• High-level knowledge of precision machining, fabrication, and propulsion systems
• High-level knowledge of airframe structures, composites, or large integrated assemblies
• Background as a design engineer, manufacturing engineer, or hands-on builder
• Proven experience building teams or shops in high-mix, low-volume environments
• Ability to influence cost and schedule across programs
