Responsibilities

• Own all inbound and outbound freight spend across LTL, TL, parcel, and hybrid modes
• Design carrier strategy to balance cost, reliability, and damage risk
• Lead rate negotiations, contract structuring, and performance enforcement
• Optimize mode selection and identify opportunities to redesign freight flows
• Design and enforce claims processes to recover value from freight damage
• Define freight KPIs and partner with analytics to build PowerBI dashboards
• Ensure freight processes are correctly represented in custom ERP workflows
• Identify and implement AI-assisted workflows for rate anomaly detection and risk prediction
• Partner with Warehouse and Finance leadership to align logistics with operational and margin strategies

Requirements

• 7+ years in logistics, freight, or network optimization leadership
• Proven ownership of multi-million-dollar freight spend
• Strong analytical capability with experience in complex data sets
• Experience partnering with custom ERP systems and BI tools like PowerBI
• Systems thinking approach to contracts and operational behavior
• High-agency leadership style
• Pragmatic interest in AI and automation applications
