Director of Licensed Installer Operations

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We are building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company, making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete licensed installer lifecycle from sourcing and certification through performance management and offboarding
• Design and build the full vetting and selection process for identifying installer partners from scratch
• Build and scale the subcontractor onboarding program including certification tiers and training protocols
• Develop and monitor KPIs for installer performance including customer satisfaction and callback rates
• Establish and maintain brand standards on-site including uniforms and vehicle branding
• Own the QA framework including remote photo review, video walkthroughs, and on-site audits
• Manage subcontractor compensation structures, payment terms, and installer P&L
• Partner with Legal to maintain subcontractor agreements and insurance compliance
• Forecast installer capacity needs in partnership with market leadership
• Serve as the senior escalation point for day-to-day process issues across the installer network

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in operations, field service, or contractor management overseeing distributed third-party networks
• Proven track record designing contractor vetting, certification, and performance frameworks from scratch
• Strong knowledge of independent contractor classification, licensing, and insurance compliance
• Hands-on experience configuring field service management or CRM platforms like HubSpot, Zuper, or ServiceTitan
• Ability to travel up to 75% on an ongoing basis
• Experience in HVAC, residential installation, or skilled trades is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern tools including AI to automate and make work more efficient
• Ability to manage multiple markets and partners simultaneously in a fast-paced startup environment
