About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build authentic, one-on-one relationships with Jewish undergraduate and graduate students
  • Lead and advise student-facing programming, including Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, and social events
  • Enhance connections to the worldwide Jewish community through Israel education and global Jewry programs
  • Partner with student leaders to develop a dynamic, student-driven calendar of Jewish life programming
  • Supervise and mentor student engagement interns
  • Manage Birthright Israel and MTF programs, including recruitment and orientations
  • Support students in navigating their Jewish identities with a pluralistic perspective
  • Assist the Executive Director in addressing antisemitism through education and advocacy
  • Represent Hopkins Hillel at university and Baltimore Jewish community events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2–4 years of experience in Jewish communal work, campus engagement, or education
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • A pluralistic and inclusive approach to Jewish identity
