Director of IT Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the IT operations function, including hiring, coaching, and developing system administrators and help desk technicians
• Manage end-user support, service desk operations, and endpoint lifecycle/asset management
• Oversee network connectivity (wired, wireless, and internet) across 27+ dealership locations
• Coordinate new-store buildouts, including cabling, networking, and on-site equipment setup for acquisitions
• Manage identity and access management, moving toward a structured enterprise-grade model
• Administer core business platforms including DMS, CRM, AWS, and Microsoft 365
• Oversee cybersecurity hygiene and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS) in partnership with MSSPs
• Manage vendor and MSP relationships to ensure service delivery and value
• Own the IT operations budget and manage hardware, software, and licensing spend
• Lead large-scale projects including acquisitions, system changes, and hardware rollouts

Requirements

• Experience leading IT operations or infrastructure teams, ideally in a multi-site or distributed environment
• Proven people leadership skills with experience hiring and developing technical talent
• Technical proficiency in cloud (AWS), networking, and identity/access management
• Hands-on experience with M365 administration and Microsoft licensing
• Experience managing MSPs and third-party vendors
• Ability to travel to various locations for store buildouts and acquisitions
• Familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS), ERP, or CRM systems
• Ability to balance strategic direction with tactical, hands-on execution
