CIMMYT is a cutting-edge, non-profit, international organization dedicated to solving tomorrow’s problems today. It is a core CGIAR Research Center focused on improving the quantity, quality, and dependability of production systems for basic cereals like maize and wheat through applied agricultural science.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver IT and Digital Transformation strategy aligned with CIMMYT’s Strategy 2030
• Act as Executive Sponsor and accountable owner of the ERP project, focusing on stabilization and business adoption
• Lead the full ERP lifecycle including business process harmonization, system design, and change management
• Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Knowledge Management strategy
• Drive the digital-transformation agenda, including the responsible implementation of Artificial Intelligence tools
• Manage the KM&IT budget and contribute to resource mobilization
• Lead and develop a diverse, globally distributed KM&IT team

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT, digital transformation, or enterprise systems leadership
• Proven experience at a Director or senior leadership level managing complex or global organizations
• Demonstrated leadership as Executive Sponsor of large-scale ERP implementations
• Experience overseeing enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and data environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise business processes (Finance, HR, Procurement, Grants)
• Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks and cybersecurity
• Fluency in English is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Formal IT service or governance certifications (e.g., ITIL, ISO)
• Working knowledge of Spanish or French
• Experience in international development, agriculture, research, or non-profit organizations
