About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the strategic vision, mission, and long-term goals for the International Education Department.
  • Ensure college compliance with federal regulations, specifically SEVIS and DHS guidelines related to F-1 student visas.
  • Manage departmental operations, including staff supervision, budget management, and policy development.
  • Create initiatives to increase internationalization at the college, including study abroad and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) programs.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess and improve the international student experience.
  • Foster collaboration between college departments, external partners, area businesses, and community organizations.
  • Resolve student concerns and provide support to international populations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience regarding international student trends and issues.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with immigration laws, federal laws, and F-1 visa guidelines.
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an educational or student activities setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve students from varied academic and personal backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to build relationships within international communities.
