Director of Internal Sales

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and coach internal wholesalers and sales associates
• Establish and enforce measurable performance standards for calls, meetings set, pipeline growth, and asset flows
• Implement structured outbound call programs targeting advisors, home offices, and model gatekeepers
• Monitor daily call activity, contact quality, CRM usage, and follow-up cadence
• Ensure tight alignment between internal and external wholesalers for coordinated territory coverage
• Partner with the National Sales Manager on territory strategy and segmentation
• Oversee call campaigns tied to new product launches and platform expansions

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of experience in asset management sales
• Prior experience leading or mentoring internal wholesalers
• Deep understanding of mutual fund, ETF, and SMA distribution channels
• Knowledge of IBD, RIA, Wirehouse, and regional broker-dealer ecosystems
• FINRA Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 required
• Strong analytical skills and CRM fluency
