Director of Internal Audit

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk-based annual internal audit plan aligned with global strategic goals.
• Drive the adoption of AI, machine learning, and automation tools to transition to continuous monitoring and full-population data analysis.
• Direct the end-to-end global SOX 404 compliance program, including documentation, testing, and remediation.
• Lead complex operational and strategic audits focused on efficiency, product security, and scalable business processes.
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior management and process owners regarding emerging risks, M&A activity, and system implementations.
• Prepare and present compelling risk reports for the Audit Committee and executive leadership.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing global team of audit professionals.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive experience in Internal Audit, SOX compliance, or risk management within a large, multinational public tech company.
• Big 4 Public Accounting experience at a senior managerial level.
• Required certifications: CPA, CA, or CIA.
• Proficiency in using AI and automation software to analyze large datasets and automate audit procedures.
• Deep familiarity with cloud-based ERPs (NetSuite or Workday) and audit management platforms (Workiva or AuditBoard).
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, COSO/COBIT frameworks, and PCAOB standards.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and simplify complex regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISA, CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or CRMA certifications.
