Director of Information Technology

Responsibilities

• Drive technological innovation and evaluate emerging technologies to support the school's mission and strategic goals
• Lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives and manage IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and telecommunications
• Manage the IT security risk assessment process, including identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks to information assets
• Oversee and provide strategic leadership to the technical support team, including the Educational Technology Manager, Senior Database Administrator, Technology Support Specialist, and Librarian
• Define and implement technology policies, ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance with regulatory frameworks
• Plan and execute the migration of servers, applications, and databases to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Establish renewal plans, replacement cycles, and disposal plans for all technology equipment

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree in a related field
• Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience
• Advanced knowledge of Apple products and OSX
• Proven experience with cloud platform migration and managing cloud-based systems
• Proficiency with G-Suite for Education and Google Management Console
• Strong project management skills with experience in cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Demonstrated leadership and performance management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• 7-9 years of experience specifically within a school or equivalent educational setting
• Fluency in Spanish
