Director of Human Resources

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all functional areas of human resources, including compensation and benefits administration
• Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and wage/salary processes
• Ensure compliance with federal and state legislation, governmental agencies, and accrediting bodies
• Manage the hiring process for all positions, including contracting and onboarding of new employees
• Oversee the Payroll Manager and all related payroll processes
• Manage the School’s Worker’s Compensation claims administration
• Serve as a fiduciary for the School’s 403(b) retirement plan
• Develop and maintain a human resources information system

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Management, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources and Benefits administration
• Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws
• Experience managing other employees
• Proficiency in technology and HR information systems
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
