About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with ministry objectives and organizational goals
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management systems
- Ensure compliance with employment, labor, and workers' compensation laws
- Oversee administration of benefits programs including health insurance and retirement plans
- Supervise a team of five responsible for onboarding, departures, sourcing, and payroll
- Oversee payroll processing accuracy and efficiency
- Manage organizational design projects, change management, and process improvement initiatives
- Develop policies for employee engagement and manage federal/state law compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR management roles
- Extensive knowledge of employment and labor law (FMLA, OSHA)
- Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, and employee relations
- Expertise in HRIS platforms and data analysis
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills for vendor and contract management
- Ability to navigate sensitive topics and difficult conversations with grace
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in Human Resources
