About the Company

The Arc of Greater New Orleans (ArcGNO) is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives. Since 1953, ArcGNO has provided advocacy, education, and support services to individuals and families across the Greater New Orleans area.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to align human resources strategies with organizational goals and long-term sustainability
• Develop and lead organizational culture initiatives focused on engagement, inclusion, and retention
• Lead organizational development initiatives including succession planning and leadership development
• Supervise Human Resources staff and direct all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and compensation
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
• Administer and oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Lead HR compliance efforts related to CARF accreditation, state licensing, and labor regulations
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems to support regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Seven years of progressively responsible human resources experience
• Three years of leadership or supervisory experience
• SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services settings
• Experience supporting CARF accreditation or regulatory compliance programs
• Master's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Experience with Rippling, Relias, or similar HRIS and LMS
