Director of HR Operations

Hippocratic AI is the leading generative AI company in healthcare. We have trained our own LLMs to enable safe, autonomous, clinical conversations with patients, resulting in a system with over 99.9% accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the People tech stack, including HRIS (Rippling), ensuring scalable workflows and data integrity
• Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
• Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
• Develop and maintain the employee handbook and HR policies
• Manage benefits administration, compensation workflows, and payroll coordination
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee relations and dispute mediation
• Collaborate with Finance on headcount planning, budgets, and growth forecasting
• Maintain accurate HR reporting and leverage data analytics to inform strategy

Requirements

• 7+ years in People/HR Operations with 2+ years in leadership roles
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startups
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, AI, biotech, or fintech
• Deep functional knowledge of HRIS, total rewards, compliance, and employee relations
• Strong expertise with Rippling or similar HRIS platforms
• Strong foundation in multi-state employment laws
• Analytical mindset with strength in data and reporting
• Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
• Experience partnering with Finance on headcount and compensation planning
• Experience with global expansion or international HR operations
• Experience scaling companies from Series C through hypergrowth
