About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre-admission screening and ensure required documentation is completed
  • Monitor implementation of policies and procedures in adherence to regulatory guidelines
  • Manage Wellness department resources and budget
  • Ensure team compliance with safety regulations, infection control, and quality assurance
  • Supervise documentation for monthly billings and resident care changes
  • Review and follow up on community incident reports and develop plans of correction
  • Perform continuous supervision, training, and performance appraisals of Health and Wellness team members
  • Participate in regulatory inspections and surveys
  • Oversee recruitment and selection of care team members
  • Conduct care plan conferences with residents and families
  • Partner with sales teams to discuss wellness services with prospective residents
  • Coordinate in-house ancillary medical services and facilitate continuity of care with third-party providers
  • Assess resident health, oversee medication administration, and manage individualized service plans
  • Evaluate residents and communicate condition changes to physicians and families

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CPR Certification and basic first aid knowledge
  • Experience in direct patient care and clinical assessments
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and managing healthcare personnel
  • 3-5 years of experience at a department head level in Assisted Living or related industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technologies
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
