About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in pre-admission screening and ensure required documentation is completed
- Monitor implementation of policies and procedures in adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Manage Wellness department resources and budget
- Ensure team compliance with safety regulations, infection control, and quality assurance
- Supervise documentation for monthly billings and resident care changes
- Review and follow up on community incident reports and develop plans of correction
- Perform continuous supervision, training, and performance appraisals of Health and Wellness team members
- Participate in regulatory inspections and surveys
- Oversee recruitment and selection of care team members
- Conduct care plan conferences with residents and families
- Partner with sales teams to discuss wellness services with prospective residents
- Coordinate in-house ancillary medical services and facilitate continuity of care with third-party providers
- Assess resident health, oversee medication administration, and manage individualized service plans
- Evaluate residents and communicate condition changes to physicians and families
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR Certification and basic first aid knowledge
- Experience in direct patient care and clinical assessments
- Experience in recruiting, training, and managing healthcare personnel
- 3-5 years of experience at a department head level in Assisted Living or related industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technologies
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
