Director of Health Sciences Research & Grants

Responsibilities

• Lead grant management for the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM), focusing on grant acquisition, writing, and budget management.
• Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities compatible with the mission of DCOM and underserved rural communities.
• Prepare and write health-related program and research grant proposals for submission.
• Serve as a liaison between the University, DCOM, and various federal and state granting agencies.
• Foster collaborative research initiatives and expand partnerships with other healthcare institutions and programs.
• Assist faculty and staff with the preparation of grant proposals and work closely with the DCOM research committee.
• Monitor state and federal policies that impact health-related grants and submit required reports on the status and use of awarded funds.
• Arrange and conduct site visits and personal visits with granting agencies as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in grant writing and development work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education or a health-related field.
• Doctorate degree.
• Business training and professional experience.
