Director of Health and Wellness

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-admission screening and ensure required documentation is completed
• Monitor implementation of policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
• Manage Wellness department resources and budgets
• Supervise Health and Wellness team members including training and performance appraisals
• Oversee recruitment and selection of care team members
• Conduct care plan conferences with residents and families
• Coordinate in-house ancillary medical services and third-party healthcare providers
• Assess resident health, oversee medication administration, and manage individualized service plans
• Evaluate resident condition changes and communicate with physicians and families
• Perform on-call duties and act as manager of the day as directed

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
• Valid driver’s license
• CPR Certification and basic first aid knowledge
• Experience in direct patient care and clinical assessments
• Experience in recruiting, training, and managing healthcare staff
• 3-5 years of experience at a department head level in Assisted Living or related industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
