Director of Government Affairs

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute legislative strategies and political priorities related to autonomy and AI
• Build and maintain networks of relationships with Members of Congress and staff on relevant Appropriations and Authorization Committees
• Shape federal policy development and monitor legislative proposals
• Draft legislative language, policy briefings, presentations, hearing testimony, and position papers
• Work closely with business development teams, external consultants, and industry partners to build coalitions
• Represent the company in front of key policymakers and manage engagements in Congressional and Executive branches

Requirements

• 5-10 years of Capitol Hill, federal government, or issue advocacy experience
• Familiarity with federal legislative landscape and Appropriations/Authorization processes
• Expertise in defense, national security, autonomy, and/or emerging technologies
• Established bipartisan relationships with relevant Congressional offices and committees
• Proven track record of execution and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional lobbying experience
• Graduate degree focused on the legislative process, technology, or national security
• Technical background related to autonomy or artificial intelligence
