Director of Gift Planning

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities related to a comprehensive planned giving program, including marketing, stewardship, and budget management.
• Maintain a portfolio of 75–125 individual planned and leadership gift prospects, conducting personal solicitations and visits.
• Serve as an internal adviser to staff and volunteers on charitable tax, estate planning, and complex gift cases.
• Lead trust and estate management for all bequest interactions and manage the Rosemary Park Society.
• Develop and implement a multi-channel marketing plan (print, web, email) to increase awareness of gift planning opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance, legal counsel, and advancement teams to ensure compliance with tax laws and accounting principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 years of experience in soliciting and closing planned gifts or leadership gifts.
• Deep knowledge of planned giving vehicles, such as charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts.
• Proficiency in PGCalc or similar planned giving software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial principles to donors.
• Ability to travel extensively and work occasional nights and weekends.
• Proficiency with standard office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.

Preferred Qualifications

• J.D. or other advanced degree.
