About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food service operations for the Department of Corrections
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the Corrections Food Services Department
- Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and county standards, policies, and regulations
- Provide high-quality food service to the Department of Corrections facility
- Maintain compliance with standards set by the American Correctional Association and other governing bodies
Requirements
- Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university with an emphasis in culinary arts
- Five years of quantity food service administration experience
- Three years of supervisory experience in correctional foodservice or large quantity cookery
- Valid ServSafe Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Food Manager’s Certification
- Association of Correctional Food Service Affiliate (ACFSA) Professional Certification(s)
