Director of Finance

Responsibilities

• Direct the grants management function and ensure fulfillment of reporting requirements for CSBG, WorkReady, and other grants
• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration and existing programs
• Lead and develop departmental staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, and professional development
• Develop and maintain financial standard operating procedures within compliant budgetary and legal requirements
• Manage all fiscal responsibilities and grants accounting for compliance with federal, state, and private contracts
• Serve as a strategic business partner to the Deputy Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team
• Establish and enforce internal controls to mitigate risks and oversee financial monitoring of subcontractors
• Coordinate all audit activities and implement corrective action measures to resolve findings

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
• 6 or more years of progressive finance, budgeting, grant management, and accounting managerial experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience
• Proficiency in office and accounting software programs
• Strong project management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience in local government or nonprofit sectors
• High-level management experience in family or social services
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Finance Official (CPFO) designation
• Experience with Agile methodology
