Director of Finance

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounting and finance operations for Virgin Mobile Kuwait, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Partner with the Kuwait CEO and Group Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and commercially sound decision-making.
• Support commercial, sales, and marketing teams with financial analysis for new products, pricing, promotions, and business cases.
• Oversee core finance operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and revenue accounting.
• Ensure strict compliance with IFRS, internal controls, local tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process automation and ERP system improvements (SAP S/4HANA).
• Manage external audits, regulatory submissions, and relationships with banks and external advisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership and controllership roles.
• Proven experience in the telecom, MVNO, digital services, or high-volume consumer industries.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, management accounting, and telecom-specific revenue structures.
• High proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Experience leading finance transformation or large-scale ERP implementation projects.
• Fluency in Arabic.
