Director of Fencing

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct the men’s and women’s intercollegiate fencing programs
• Ensure all programs comply with NCAA, Northeast Conference, and University regulations
• Supervise Assistant Coaches and manage program operations
• Teach, evaluate, and refine sport-specific skill development for student-athletes
• Recruit qualified student-athletes in accordance with NCAA Division I guidelines
• Support the academic progress and holistic development of student-athletes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules
• Proven track record of recruiting success in collegiate fencing
• First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to travel and work varied hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• 7-10 years of experience as an intercollegiate fencing head coach
• National Red Cross certification
