About the role
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct the men’s and women’s intercollegiate fencing programs
- Ensure all programs comply with NCAA, Northeast Conference, and University regulations
- Supervise Assistant Coaches and manage program operations
- Teach, evaluate, and refine sport-specific skill development for student-athletes
- Recruit qualified student-athletes in accordance with NCAA Division I guidelines
- Support the academic progress and holistic development of student-athletes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules
- Proven track record of recruiting success in collegiate fencing
- First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Willingness to travel and work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- 7-10 years of experience as an intercollegiate fencing head coach
- National Red Cross certification
