Director of Facilities

Responsibilities

• Lead local maintenance, facilities, and vendor operations at the assigned location
• Direct all aspects of facilities management including preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and partners
• Implement and monitor standard operating procedures, policies, and workflows
• Ensure staff and vendors follow health, safety, and building code regulations
• Manage facilities management budgets and perform financial performance analysis
• Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate agreements
• Lead recruitment, retention, and training of diverse professional teams

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive related experience
• 5+ years in a leadership role
• Experience in inventory management and purchasing
• Advanced knowledge of full-cycle maintenance programs
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, construction, and masonry systems
• Financial acumen for managing CapEx and payroll budgets
• Proficiency in Excel and database applications
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC, OSHA, or EPA compliance certifications
• Trade skills or professional licenses
• Familiarity with property management software
• Degree or certification in facilities management or business management
