About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex energetics manufacturing programs from initiation through completion
  • Oversee energetics plant scale-up and manage program scope, schedule, budget, and risk
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communications with customers and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate with R&D teams to ensure a proper business case for new product development
  • Develop detailed metrics and shop floor goals to meet IBP/QBR forecasts
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain
  • Oversee program financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Support proposal development, capture activities, and long-range program growth strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience managing energetic explosives manufacturing facilities or plants
  • Experience with HMX and/or RDX production operations
  • Experience managing rolling 12-18 month production schedules for pricing and financial forecasting
  • Knowledge of defense industry regulations, including ITAR, DFARS, and FAR
  • Experience in Cost Account Management (CAM) or Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex programs within a defense or government contracting environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience scaling up New Molecule Energetics
  • Experience supporting capture, proposal development, or program growth initiatives
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills
