Director of Environmental Services

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and janitorial personnel
• Implement programs to maximize revenue, control expenses, and improve customer satisfaction
• Manage all community maintenance needs and the TELS work order system
• Oversee apartment home turnover and preventative maintenance programs
• Assist in developing the annual maintenance operating budget and manage expenditures
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and apartment homes to ensure functionality and company standards
• Negotiate with external maintenance vendors and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including Fair Housing regulations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years of multi-family property management or building maintenance experience
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic and performance management
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to use general maintenance tools, pressure washers, and landscaping equipment
• Ability to transport up to 60 pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights
• Knowledge of carpet/upholstery cleaning, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and SDS Sheets
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
