Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the Prospect Audiences engineering team of approximately 10 engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
• Own the Third-Party Audiences product from an engineering, architecture, and technology perspective.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to shape the long-range product roadmap.
• Partner with architects to build world-class data ingestion and processing architectures.
• Drive the adoption of AI-native SDLC and agentic software development paradigms.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop top engineering talent.
• Manage end-to-end system ownership, including production deployments, monitoring, SLOs, and on-call support.
• Oversee system cost profiles and execute optimization projects to maintain a lean footprint.
• Ensure reliable, testable pipelines through quality checks, observability, and clear data contracts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant leadership of large-scale data systems and teams.
• Deep domain expertise in both batch and real-time data processing systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud data architectures (e.g., AWS, Snowflake).
• Proficiency with data technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Iceberg, Hudi, Delta, EMR, Airflow, or Spark.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-throughput APIs (e.g., Aerospike, Scylla, DynamoDB).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Data Lakehouse and Data Table Formats.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
