Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design, installation, and repair of television, digital, OTT, Internet Systems, and high-power RF systems.
• Manage a staff of professional and technical engineers, operators, and IT technicians, fostering a culture of leadership and growth.
• Partner with the news department to develop and support content workflows, including software, hardware, and networking infrastructure.
• Establish and implement engineering policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with FCC rules and regulations.
• Manage facility infrastructure, including HVAC, power generation, security systems, and grounds.
• Prepare and track capital, expense, repair, and maintenance budgets.
• Plan, design, and document current and future broadcast and digital systems.

Requirements

• BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a related technical field.
• Prior managerial or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Network, SBE, and/or Project Management certifications.
• Strong understanding of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and information systems.
• Experience with emerging broadcast-related technologies.
